John McNeil

With over 13 years of progressive field experience within the wireless industry, John provides leadership and direction to TCI’s team of Tower foremen, technicians and supporting field staff in his role as Director of Operations. John works across TCI to lead our program team with the internal technical resources for service execution. Having first-hand knowledge of all aspects of the wireless development work he now manages, John has a complete understanding of the needs and requirements of the field teams, whether it is a civil project, a complex carrier modification or a structural upgrade.

John began his career over 20 years ago with the ironworkers union, honing his skill in high-rise construction throughout the Boston market. His entry into telecommunications was with Seavey Engineering, ARA serving as an installation, testing and maintenance technician on various antenna systems.  He would later join Centerline Communications, Pinnacle Tower Systems and Eustis Wireless, where he ascended to the role of tower foreman taking on construction management responsibilities.  John advanced his management abilities as a Project Manager with Sentenia Systems, leading tiger teams in testing, troubleshooting and PIM mitigation for various commercial carrier deployments.  Prior to joining TCI, Mr. McNeil was the Operations Manager for QualTek Wireless where he oversaw all construction and troubleshooting crews as well as the civil and electrical teams.  John was responsible for daily reporting to the clients, scheduling all internal crews, and at times subcontracted teams, to ensure projects were completed on time and within budget.

John is U.S. Army Veteran that successfully led his team through various missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  He retired honorably as a Specialist 5 from the Massachusetts National Guard in 2011. John holds his diploma in Electricity and Electronics studies and holds an HVAC Certificate from the Bay State School of Technology.  Mr. McNeil holds numerous licenses and certifications supporting all aspects of the wireless and HVAC industries.

John lives on Boston’s south shore with his wife and two children where he is an active member of his community, volunteering his time to various community and youth activities.
